The worst feeling in the world is giving all the love you have and knowing it will never be returned.

Sometimes in life we fall in love and for one reason or another it has to end. Sometimes there is that special someone we will love forever even though apart. Lovers must become friends. But the love in the heart remains forever.
I have added the following quotes to give you inspiration to write of that love you will never forget and shall remain forever in your heart.

The worst feeling in the world is giving all the love
you have and knowing it will never be returned.

Its hard to pretend you love someone when
you don't but its harder to pretend that
you don't love someone when you really do.

The hardest part of dreaming
about someone you love is having to wake up.

There is one pain I often feel which
you will never know because
it is caused by the absence of you.

Of all the words of tongue or pen,
the saddest are those...it might have been.

Who do you turn to when the only person
who can stop you from crying
is the one who is making you cry?

Yep, to love and never have it returned is quite cruel. What is worst is being told "I don't love you" my those you have brought into the world and were poisoned by lies from others. I am not on a "pity-pot" I got over that years ago, because I had an angel sent to me by God. Now I love and I am loved in return. As for the others "Frankly, I don't give a damn."

    Unrequited Love

To me, the best example of that is Jesus. He loves a world that hates Him.

And we think we have it bad...He deserves His due.

The world doesn't hate Jesus. There are some of us that not only love and respect him. We share our lives with him.

        John 15:18

“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you."

So I guess Jesus lied...or maybe He doesn't know anything.

            There's two problems with emotions:

            1. They're unreliable. We often feel something that is not lining up with reality.

            2. Not everyone has the same feeling.

What is reliable is the truth, which is what Jesus said. He is the Truth as it is. He said He was.

    This Quote Intrigued Me...

Rich Mullins was a Christian artist known for such worship classics as “Awesome God” and “Step by Step”. He died at the age of 42, having never been married.

This is a quote on relationships from him.

"I would always be frustrated with all those relationships even when I was engaged. I had a ten year thing with this girl and I would often wonder why, even in those most intimate moments of our relationship, I would still feel really lonely. And it was just a few years ago that I finally realized that friendship is not a remedy for loneliness. Loneliness is a part of our experience and if we are looking for relief from loneliness in friendship, we are only going to frustrate the friendship. Friendship, camaraderie, intimacy, all those things, and loneliness live together in the same experience... I have no interest in anybody else and she is married to someone else so that's the way it goes and I don't mind that. Right now I cannot imagine that life could be happier married than it is single so I'm not in a panic about getting married. And I think, you know, maybe God wanted me to be celibate and the way that he accomplished that was to break my heart. So that's the way it goes."

  • Thank you for the honorable mention dear poetess
It was a pleasure to write for your contest
    Blessings always
    Nick
