"We, the people of the United States,
In order to form a more perfect Union,
Establish justice, insure domestic tranquility,
Provide for the common defense,
Promote the general welfare,
And secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,
Do ordain and establish this Constitution
For the United States of America."
Greetings Everyone,
I was feeling a little patriotic this weekend and was able to add more to my patriotic, political songs I'm working on and I felt the need for a CONTEST!
The prompt is Simple:
Give me your very best Patriotic Poem/Song (Songs are just poems with music) that you believe defines your Patriotism.
Prewrites are allowed but, since it is my contest, if I do not feel that the prewrite does not represent the prompt, I will take the poem off but you always have the chance to enter a fresh write.
RULES:
1. Only one entry per person
( If you enter a prewrite and want to enter a new write, you'll have to delete the prewrite)
2. NO dirty/pretty or adult content!
3. I like to read, but no more than 100 lines (Give or take a line or two)
4. NO excessive Cursing! (maximum of 5 words of vulgar language)
5. If need be, bash the bajeezers out of a politician or political personnel, etc.,
(hey, we still have our First Amendment last I checked)
but it must be part of you defining your patriotism as the prompt states.
6. This is for serious Patriots, but if it fits, add some Patriotic humor
7. Some of my rules seem to contradict, but this is My contest so it goes My Way.
8. Have fun, comment a few of your competitors for good sport ( not required), and give me some Truehearted, deepsouled, Patriotism!
9. Please check your grammar and spelling!
Note:
*ANY DISREGARD OF THE RULES WILL COST A WARNING, THEN AN ENTRY BOOT IF WARNING IS IGNORED. IF YOU RECEIVE A WARNING, SEND A REPLY SO I HAVE NO NEED TO BANISH YOU FROM MY KINGDOM.
###Put "I Went To Narnia" in your Author's Notes so I see I haven't wasted my time explaining this to you.
This is an Anonymous Contest so NO Worries there folks!
Any Questions, just give me a hollar, i'm just a message away!
God Bless,
ZeInkslinger

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 17
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 350, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: Greetings Everyone!
Sorry I took so long to judge. Summer has bee long short and crazy and there were tons of really good entries!
Thanks Everyone for their participation and I hope you join me for more of my future contests.
I felt patriotism in every write entered into this contest. I felt some had more than others, but everyone showed what they felt in their own way and it's great to know people still support their country and not necessarily the ones who run it.
I thank you all for your time, patience, and especially your talent.
I look forward for more of your writes in any more of my upcoming contests.
God Bless,
ZeInkslinger
