This is a picture of Mabry Mill I took with my Dad's digital Camera. It is along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. If you use this picture please give credit to me (Julie Leigh)
I want you to look at this picture and either describe it or write the first thing that pops into your head. You could even write a poem in the past about this picture. Just write whatever the heck you want.
The Dreaded Rules:
1) No adult or erotica poems
2) No cussing because I don't like it
3) One entry per poet
4) Sorry but no pre writes allowed
Have Fun!!!
P.S. I will add points as I get them like the other contests I am running.

Bookmarked to enter later. What a beautiful pic!

PS - it's a very good quality pic, so perhaps you'd be wise to insist that anyone using the pic to illustrate their poem credits the image to you

My father always wanted to go see those grist mills in Virginia and West Virginia. He got sick and passed away before he could do that - but I bought him every picture/calendar I could find that had the grist mills on them.
This is a beautiful picture - you did a great job with it!

I do try to get good pictures. Sometimes they turn out blurry but this actually the best one I got of the mill. Sorry your Dad never made it to see one.
