Thank you, Carolyn

This contest is dedicated to AP member, poetess and great friend, always kind and generous, known as Meanderingbear.

http://allpoetry.com/meanderingbear

She left this site and I hope that one day she will find her way back.

For all of you who know her it is clear how much she love rhyming poetry. For you who don't, please go visit her site. Don't mimic her, don't mimic any poets poetry, just be yourself.

This time I ask you to write rhyming poetry only and I expect of you to write with soul and heart. Don't kill your keyboard, do it gently.

Don't rush.

Carolyn sent me a lot of points and she asked me to start some great contest.

In the case of lack of entires I will delete this contest. You may reserve your place but please finish your poem on time.

So, please do make it great!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on July 17
  • Rewards: Gold: 3500, Silver: 1000, Bronze: 500, Honorable mention: 1 people
  • Final notes:
Thank you for all your great entry to my contest. This one was the hardest I ever had to judge. So, each contest holder is only a human being with a personal taste for poetry. I had to read them all aloud, to hear the voice of poets too.

I tried to do my best and as you see I added a HM too.

    Here we go:

    1. The Shepherd
    2. Language Is My Very Essence
    3. Expatriate, You Can't Go Home

    HM

    Sad Dreamer

And this is not the end. For the second round I invite the following authors to enter their poems again to grab their trophies and points:

    1. Her Mountains Call
    2. Harmony
    3. A matter of Planting

    HM

    Undeniable

Congratulations to winners and to all other contest participants.

    Sonja

Hello Sonja I've written a little rhyming poetry in the past so I would like to enter, can you tell me if there is any theme to be considered or can we write about anything close to our heart?
