Forgiving others and forgiving self

To find peace
Forgive and love with grace

Better yet
Don’t judge in the first place

‘To give up resentment against or the desire to punish; stop being angry with; pardon’ -- this is how the Webster’s Dictionary defines “forgive”.

I see true forgiveness as giving up my judgment. We do not know enough to judge why things are so.

Does our forgiving help ourselves? How do we feel when we hold a grudge? Is it fun? Is it pleasant? What is constantly occupying our minds when we are full of resentment? Who are we really punishing?

So, get started and write your poem on forgiving others and forgiving yourself.

Poems not pertaining to this will be removed.
Poems more than 100 lines will be removed. Sorry, but I can't handle these. It overflows my brain.

I enjoy reading, but not judging. I have learned much from this contest. I moved the finalist around several times, so in the end it was just musical chairs. Thank you all.
