Tarot: The Major Arcana

Have you ever had you fortune told? This is a contest for poems based on Tarot Cards. To help inspire you, I've listed the names of the cards of the Major Arcana. The four suits, Rods, Swords, Coins and Cups, can be researched on the net, should you wish.
You can draw your title from this list. Or you may wish to write a poem about the telling of fortunes by the Tarot. Be creative. You may have 5 entries apiece, and prewrites are O.K. You can be as esoteric as you wish. Or you may wish to take the pea and ham out of the whole concept. Either way, I don't mind. Have fun.

  • Final notes:
    Plenty of entries here, with a very varied approach from all the entrants. In the end I chose the gold because it was the most metrically formed of the lot; the silver because it was the most original treatment of the theme; and the bronze because it was amusing, which counts for a lot in this depressing world. The honourable mentions all have merit. Thanks to all entrants. I hope you all foresaw the results.
