Lyric/poetry Inspiration

This contest is for poems inspired by the lyrics/poetry of the following...

1. Joanna Newsom-- I would love it if this option gets a good no. of entries!
2. Tori Amos
3. Melora Creager (Rasputina)
4. Sylvia Plath

Simple isn't it? Just choose your preferred inspiration source and write me a wonderful poem. No crap allowed!

Contest specifications:

1. Must be relevant.
2. Please use good grammar and spelling.
3. Write good poetry. Make it intelligent, beautiful, and maybe even a bit eccentric.
4. IM me if there are any questions or if you feel there is an equally enchanting inspiration source that you would like to use. If I like your source then I will probably let you use it.
5. Please don't enter if you cringe at honest opinions. I promise I am not mean but I don't lie either.
6. Please place your choice in the author's comment box.

I am keeping this contest open for awhile longer. I still have no entries inspired by Melora Creager! I would love to have some of those (hint, hint).

UPDATE Aug. 01, 2009
In asking for poems inspired by a certain writer/musician, I also mean that it may be inspired by their style. This is not an ultimate requirement, however. If you choose some other aspect of their work besides their style, this is fine. It can be inspired in a number of ways.

UPDATE July 16, 2009
Unless I receive more entries I will have to delete this contest.

Thank you for hosting and for the silver, Lea. Congrats to Kate, Sharon Lynn, crissy and everyone else who entered. Be well, Poets and Scribes.

If anyone is interested, I did a recent posting of pictures of Sylvia Plath with a bunch of links of her reading her work. It can be found here:
