Most people hate writing essays...hence the challenge.
Your goal is to choose a controversial topic and express your opinion. This is even more challenging because this assignment requires courage - and part of being the X Factor is being not just a stellar writer, but a brave writer too. Put your foot down and raise your voice. It's time to stand up for what (you believe) is right!
You will not be judged on your opinion on the matter, but simply how well you execute your argument.
Your topic is entirely your choice - as well as the length of it. (Note: Please don't make it super long. Use your noggin'. lol)

But I'm not going to lie, I would HATE doing this challenge in a rounds contest. I would feel like I was in a straight-jacket!
