So here is the deal my friends of AP...I have been holding off on throwing a contest for a while because I have yet to win a gold. However, I am antsy....lol and seek some inspiration. I AM ALLOWING PREWRITES! I hate when people don't but please feel free to write something new. I am looking for quality work that will inspire and enlighten the mind. I do have a few rules THAT MUST BE ABIDES. SO SAYTH THE SPIDER! LOL Here are the rules:
1. Must be of the best quality. A lot of poems here are not what I consider 'poetry'. I want incredible work that will inspire me.
2. Do me a huge favor and try to write about what I like. I will tell you now I am not a big rhyme fan and prefer freeverse. You can check out my stuff to kinda get a feel if you like, you dont have to. I love history, jazz, classical, I could go on and on...which leads me to my third point.
3. I will DQ ANY poem that has to do with any of these topics: emo, cutting, goth, vampire, twilight ( BTW people if you REALLY like this Bullbunny, you are ridiculous), dirty pretty, abusing your shift key, religulous mumbo-jumbo, epics (I love them but I am not in the mood right now for them so under 80 lines please), and whinny woe is me stuff. Thank you for obliging!
Other than that is is all yours. Feel free to explore the catacombs of your mind! Contest ends July 4th. I promise to comment on all poems in my contest. I hate when people don't do that. Best of luck friends!

- Final notes: WOW. I have to say judging this, though it sounds so cliche, was hard. At the same time I had to pick.
