I am holding a Sympathy contest for my sister Maureen who was the first person I met and made friends with here with on Allpoetry.....Dec 8th 2001
She just sent me an E-Mail where she was with her sister who has just passed away....
She is beside herself with grief and I thought a contest for her might help her at this time of need.............
Most of us know what it feels like to lose someone close to us..........
Go inside your heart and write a heartfelt poem of sympathy for my sis Maureen
Rules.....................
1.nO tYpInG tHis wAy....
2.It can be free verse or rhyme
3.Gold and Silver members please upload a pic with your poem and tell where you found it at
4.It would be nice to read other people's poems in the contest but it not a requirement
5.Go inside your heart and write something beautiful....
6.This is the first contest I have held since the new change over so please bear with me..........
7.I will comment on every poem
8. My sis Maureen loves cats thus the cat picture found at Photobucket
9.Many thanks to Desire who donated a 1000 points for this contest
For those of you who don't win.............I will still send you some points...I tried to get it take 8 Honorable Mentions due to the points Desire gave me but 5 is the max amount................

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on June 19
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 350, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 5 people
- Final notes: This was a very hard contest to judge
All were beautiful and showed such sentiment and love
I wanted to increase the Honorable Mention to 10 people but it would only allow 5
Thanks to all those who entered
I appreciated it and I know Maureen has loved them all in this time of need.

I am so sorry about Maureen's loss. She is a nice lady who has always had a kind word for me even when I've misbehaved, which is often. This is a fine thing you do for her. I will try to write something for the contest.
