Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on June 14
- Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 500, Bronze: 250, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Thank you for all the entries. The winner, "Current", impressed me because it was not the usual take on grace. I was hoping for originality and creativity. Being a Christian, I was of course moved by the pieces which spoke of God's Grace. I love stories in poems. If the story tells of sin and how it is covered by grace, I am touched.
I really had difficulty choosing the 3rd place. I changed my mind a few time but in the end I'm satisfied with my choices.
"Saving Grace" was well written. Each stanza was a beautiful poem in itself. I found I could relate to the sin and certainly being rescued.
"Undeserved Favor" had great imagery. I found I could relate to the whole piece. I loved the ending of the piece especially. The ending is why I chose it for 3rd place.
"Rescued" is a great, great story. I just loved the story.
I found I could relate to "Fallen from Grace." The end was very sad. I want to proclaim, "but there IS hope!" I want to scream,"No sin is too great that God's grace cannot cover!" So, you can see the piece stirred passion in me.
"In the jungle" was short but I was impressed with the image painted with such few words. It was profound.
