**I didnt have many entrants so I am extending the contest**
**Now excepting Prewrites**
So I havent done a contest in a very long time...the Navy keeps me pretty busy. What I want here is life...pure and straight forward no bullshit...so here are some options:
Option 1
A poem any form about what you think your parents want to say have said or dont want to tell you. Here is a poem I wrote use it for some insight.
[ Innocences feel no pain ]
Innocences feel no pain
Hide child, you have nothing to gain
Runaway into the night
Wishing you hadn't seen the fight
Hoping praying wishing you well
Daddy's gone sitting in his cell
Don't cry, I know it's shame
From all the lies he'll never claim
I'm never home but please understand
I wanted to have a life so grand
For you for me, but I was blind
I didnt see the sun or how you shine
Baby girl I wish you the best
I want you to succed and get some rest
From all the things you had to see
Please forgive, I was just being me
It can be happy, sad, angry...I dont care.
Option 2
Some of my favorite quotes...let them inspire you! As you can see I really like Emily Dickinson.
1. "Truth is so rare that it is delightful to tell it." -Emily Dickinson
2. "Forever is composed of nows." -Emily Dickinson
3. "I know a way to stay friends forever, There's really nothing to it, I tell you what to do, And you do it." -Shel Silverstein
4. "I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity." - Edgar Allan Poe
5. "Behavior is what a man does, not what he thinks, feels, or believes." -Emily Dickinson
6. "Dogs are better than human beings because they know but do not tell." -Emily Dickinson
7. "Dying is a wild night and a new road." -Emily Dickinson
8. "I hope you love birds too. It is economical. It saves going to heaven." -Emily Dickinson
9. "Saying nothing... sometimes says the most."
10. "Whenever a thing is done for the first time, it releases a little demon." -Emily Dickinson
Option 3
Distance...and what it does physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Rules:
1. I get really bored if it's long (just to give you a heads up)
2. None of that crappy typing like the sticky caps
3. No Chat talking...I dont understand most of it...it's a poem geezee
4. Doesnt matter the format you use
5. No prewrites
6. Please put the option you have chosen in the AN section please.
Let the typing begin!
