This isn't your average writing competition. This is Writer's Block. Writer's Block is for poets on AllPoetry who write pretty much, poetry. Whether it be prose, free-verse, rhyme, haiku, etc. I am looking for 20 poets to show me what they got and see if they can make it into the 10 finalists, which ultimately means you have a 50% chance of making it in the competition! Good luck!
There is no prompt for the auditions! Just write! I don't care what kind of style it is, just do it! When entering your poem, I will judge it with this rubric:
Title (how it pulls a reader in): /10
Content: /20
Originality: /20
Emotion: /10
Imagery: /10
Grammar/Spelling: /10
Prompt: /20
Now you will all have a 20 on the prompt, since this is only the auditions, but you know what I mean.
Rules:
-No erotica
-No cliche.
-No boring work.
Also PM me, if you want to help out by being a judge!
Prizes (if you win the entire competition):
Points.
The title of being the Winner of Writer's Block.
A spot on the Judge's List for Cycle 2.
Collaboration with host, xcoldsummer.
Now, there will be points here for the audition, but little, since I don't want to give all my points away!
So have fun and start entering poems!
