Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on June 29
- Rewards: Gold: 2000, Silver: 700, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 5 people
- Final notes: This has been a particularly difficult contest to judge, because there were so many poems that really hit home, and I would have liked to give all of them a trophy. I have put the honorable mentions in about the order I feel they should be. I am sorry it has taken so long, but I hope it has been worth the wait.
I have chosen Friendly faces for the gold trophy, because it is easy to comprehend, has a perfect flow and a great rhyme and it speaks to my heart.
The silver is given to Tantric breath, which also has a great form, and speaks about meditation in a meditative way (imagine that!)
Spirit's refrain is awarded the bronze, because of its impecable form (a trijan refrain) and because it says something profound about how spirituality sometimes is received.
The one who got the most nominations from all of you will receive 50pts, and the one most nominated was: Spirit's refrain
Some of you may wonder why your poem is not among the finalists. Of course this is a contest by me, and my personal taste has a lot to do with it, but also I invite you to re-read the rules and tips carefully, and I am sure that will help clear things up.
