in memory of those who served and fell and those who survived

at my university we will be holding our first ever veteran's day ceremony. what i would like is for poems that are all about veteran's day for both the fallen soldiers and the veterans who survived.

there are no rules for this contest i will accept anything but keep in mind the three winners might possible be read before an audience at the lamar university veteran's day ceremony.

    thanks for all of you hanging in there for me to judge this...i was planning on doing it sooner but unfortunately my computer broke and i had to wait to get it fixed i got it back today hence why i finally got around to judging it...plus school started...whopee(not)...

    Am withdrawing my entry in this contest because there may be something wrong with the judging. It is nearly a week since the close of the contest and there seems to be over 50% of the entries un-reviewed.

    Or worse, you've abandoned the contest and judging altogether. Whatever the case, if the contest is so protracted as this one appears to be, you ought notify the entrants of your intentions so they are aware.
