This is my first contest!!! And the theme is...
Song titles! I want you to get on any music player, go to ALL songs, and then shuffle. Write down the first 20-40 song titles and then incorporate them into a poem!
If you do not have you're own music player with a library of music, leave a comment and I'll supply you with 20 titles from my own library.
People who receive a list from me may request one whole new list or you can ask to change up to a total of 5 specific song titles. You may not do both, and you may only ask once.
Rewards:
1) 3000 points
2) 1000 points
3) 500 points
2 honorable mentions for 30 points.
Rules:
1) The poem HAS to make sense and have a central idea. You can't just pile the titles together in a way that sounds "cool." The more depth to your poem, while still sounding smooth, the better you'll do.
2) Rhyming is NOT required.
3) You must use AT LEAST 20 song titles. Any less and you will be DQ'd. The maximum limit is 40, but if you accidentally use a few extra, that will be ok.
4) You must use AT LEAST one song title in every line of your poem. Use few filler words. You may use more than one song title in any line, just as long as you have a minimum of one.
5) Please bold or underline the song titles within the poem as well as list the song titles and artists at the end of the poem. Please separate the poem from the list.
6) SPELLING AND GRAMMAR COUNT! And no l33t typing or anything like that.
7) Even though this won't affect your placing in the contest, try to comment on others' poems as much as possible. Everyone loves comments!
8) NO PREWRITES! But I'd imagine that's a given.
9) You have free reign over the content of your poem in terms of profanity, adult content, religious and spiritual beliefs, or whatever else you'd like to include. I'm not here to judge your way of life, just your poem. I'm not easily offended.
Contest ends midnight on May 15. I will comment on every poem entered.
Impress me, wow me, leave me breathless.
GOOD LUCK

are you supplying the song titles?
-
-
No, I am not. Read through the contest information and rules again. I want you to SHUFFLE your music (if you have a music player) and pick the first 20-40 song titles and use those. However, if you don't have your own music player with a library, I'll send you 20 random titles from my music.
