Hello Everyone...it's been awhile since I've been on-line here...have been suffering from a seriously long stretch of writer's block.
It's been said that "Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, BUT by the moments that take your breath away." Today I wanted to write about an experience that was so poetic to me emotionally and physically. I spent the day with an old lover, one I still love very much. The day was perfection in every way and then progressed into an evening of perfect moments...one's that I will remember for my lifetime. And then finally our time together ended this morning and we went our separate ways.
All day I've felt my silly romantic heart telling me to put into words my "perfect experience"...so I come here and still NOTHING!!! My muse continues to betray me and remains absent...stubborn bitch!!
So this is what I want from you...please tell me in your most poetic form about the moments of your life that have taken your breath away.
There are no rules other than the norms...write in any style any form, not to long, unless of course it just ends up that way. I love freestyle, metaphoric poetry, at least I do when it's written well. Please only one entry per person and no pre-writes...sorry.
Please use the quote ..."Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, BUT by the moments that take your breath away." as your prompt.
I'm hoping after reading about each of your "perfect moments", my stubborn muse will return to me and I too can put into words how beautiful my experience was.
Thanks for reading...hope to see your entry here.
