Word Prompt

For this contest, well the title pretty much states it. Let the word inspire you in any way you wish. Everyone can enter up to three times, but you must use different prompts.

Alright. Oh I will most likely add honourable mentions, points may go up. You know the whole shebang of let me see what comes in before I throw my points into the pot. Feel free to reserve, ask questions, it's all good.

None of this sticky caps. A few are alright if you indulge in dirty pretty but we don't need the whole world to know you have a shift key.
Little or no religion, thank you
No stories
Place option in author's notes along with user name, if you don't I won't bother commenting


Now since everyone hates rules, I made as few as possible. BUT I can give you hints
So no one actually has to read this, but if you want a better chance of success then I'd take the extra minute or so

I'm not a fan of prose, if you do use prose I won't kick you out, but you won't get anywhere unless it's magnificent

I like dark. You can write any style, surprise me! I'm not a fan of the emo, sounds hypocritical but when you compare the two the difference is obvious. Also, mushy love does not win me over.

Readable backgrounds.

I hate it when people don't follow the rules. The worst is putting the information in the author's notes. I know it sounds picky but if you don't I will look less kindly at your poem.

Try and check the spelling.

Be creative! Be different! Insanity is welcomed.

    Sorry for the delay, things came up and such.

    This contest was surprisingly difficult to judge. I had SO much trouble trying to work out who got the first hm and who got the bronze. Both were excellent pieces. Everyone wrote so well and thank you all for entering. Have a quick squiz over the winners if you've got the time, and other people in the contest too. Thank you all, it was a great turn out with a really high standard of quality.
