I want to tell you everything [but I'm not brave enough]

Lately for those who know me
may have realise my poetry has
become somewhat saddened. More emo.

Truth is my boyfriend and I have been fighting
non-stop for the last two weeks and it started having a toll on me.
I've been downhill and last night I had had enough.
I wrote another part of my story I came up with before I
started dating him, over nine months ago,
putting my life in a third person view and writing.

[I'll put a link to the stories soon if you'd like to read. They are interesting.]

A certain part of the story is this;

…Just once; she’d like him to surprise her with something romantic. A gift she didn’t ask or suggest and didn’t know was coming… no matter how trivial.

…Just once; she’d like him to ask how her day was and what she did; even if his was crap. To listen to her stories, even if they’re boring to him, she only tells them if they were important to her.

…Just once; she’d like him to say thank you.

…Just once; she’d like to be able to go to him with an open mind if she had a problem, without having to be scared he’d stop talking to her because she’s said something to upset him.

…Just once; she wishes that he’d let her hug him for as long as she needed it without accidentally pushing her away before she wanted to let go.

…Just once; she’d like to be able to show him this and hope that he’d be able to see that she really really really really really does loves him and that he means the world to her, and she’s trying to do the right thing but doesn’t know how.

These are things I'd like to say,
but never would.

That's where this contest comes in.
I want you to write a letter, or something very similar,
explaining to the person you love something that you want them to understand, do, say;
but for some reason can't.

I'd really prefer boyfriend/girlfriend (or the like) or husband/wife type relationships than parent/child or other.
It would probably also help if you've felt, or feeling it now.

I shall make this clear,
I don't want fake, Hollywood, cliched stuff.
I want straight from the heart to paper.
I cried writing the section above,
I'd expect the same emotion.

Rules;
-- Spell check. Please.
-- NoThInG lYk DiS
-- Real emotion
-- No novels. My attention span is very small.
-- Write it to them, not me.

Good luck.
May add more entries as it goes on.
We'll see.
More points to come.

Claire x

    hope i return before this is filled up. If I didn't have class right now, I would enter. It would be about my ex though, since I have everything I want right now...

    • If not, I'll re-open it. I only want to keep a small number open at a time because I want to be able to comment lol

      Hope to see you back =]

  • I'm not gonna enter because I can't really think of something to enter right now, but just remember;

    Sometimes "goodbye" is just a more painfaul way of saying "I love you".

    This is such a cathartic contest, it'll fill up millennia before I work up the nerve and inspiration to write

    Good luck with it though - great idea.
