What a wonderful idea for a contest, but I must excuse myself from this one although it touches me deeply..at this time, I am really involved in family affairs and cannot take the time to really do justice to the work. Hope you get5 many entries dear one!

I just was reading this poem this morning by Charles Simic and thought of you:
Watermelons
Green Buddhas
On the fruit stand.
We eat the smile
And spit out the teeth.
Cute new puppy you have. Hope you are enjoying a lovely spring with new baby animals. -

I will never again be able to eat a watermelon without enjoying its "smile" !
