        Seriously? Where does it say that? How can AP be so narrowminded in its approach to quickies. To convey meaning in such a succinct way is of itself an art form...one just has to look at architectural design, plays, music, and art.

        Let's also not forget the literary genius of people such as Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound and Samuel Beckett. Last but not least...the poetic form that is Haiku is simplicity itself. One should feel free to express their individuality in any way...depending on the subject of course. (taboo subjects should be carefully monitored.)

        To say one form of expression has less value in comparison to other forms is insulting, hurtful and indicative of today's society. I was totally appalled when I got your reply...but now I am so sad and weary.

        Big Brother beckons...it's time to conform! Individualists need not apply!!!!!
