A friend and I have a media company named Final Draft Media. Through our media company we have set up a poetry podcast channel where we will be broadcasting poetry lectures and readings of classic poets.
We are looking for a third part to this format, Showcasing.
As poets of All Poetry we thought up the idea of showcasing talent from this site and so this contest was created. The three winners of this contest will not only win a stack of points and trophy's but will also be showcased on our podcast. Three of your poems will be read, credited to you and discussed in the show. The honorable mentions will also be included in later shows as well. Please just take a few moments to read the information below before you enter.
INFORMATION:
We do not own your work nor do we take credit for it, but by entering this contest you are giving us permission to read your work and discuss it on the show. If you are not happy with this, please don't enter.
You must enter three poems, these will be the poems showcased on the show. Please make sure you are fully happy with these and view them as your finest work!
Although contests are supposed to be fair and we fully agree with the anonymous stance taken, for this we will require you identify your username, name and which poem's are yours so we may be able to judge properly. If we have three poems by you that are anon, we can't judge this properly.
Apart from that there are no rules. Any theme, form, etc is allowed. Erotica, Angst, Nature... whatever. Just make it your best work, something you would want to show off.
Thank's for reading and good luck.
Thom and Pete.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 1
- Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Here is the thing... We have been looking over these poems for a few weeks now and really struggled to judge the competition... So we have decided to Showcase all of the authors who have entered. Now the 6 finalists will be the first poets to have their work showcased and within the next few weeks we will be in contact with you arranging everything etc. But to every one else, throughout the next year we would like to contact you about showcasing at a later date, to have such a high level of exceptional work it would be a shame not to showcase all of them. - - - Just one more note, we are looking to make a charity poetry book further down the line and we would like all of you to be part of this. Thank you for your entries... and well done to everyone. - Thom

Although poems will be viewed on and off to check for names and build the list for each author, we will comment eventually. So don't worry if we have viewed it and not commented, we will.

Hi there. Great contest

I've entered three of my poems, all starting with 'If' in their titles... 'If I Were A Bohemian (Philosopher)', 'If I Were Ana', and 'If I Were An Artist' (Yep written in that order, latest to earliest). This is sorta like a series I'm working on... There're other poems I've written, dealing with more specifics such as 'If I Were A Cutter'.
Uh yeah. Thanks for hosting the contest and good luck, everyone!

Hey guys, I am astonished at how many adds this has received already! From the browse we have some outstanding poems in this contest, however I can/have only identified three authors so far. I'll make it easier, if you could email me at finaldraft@live.co.uk give us your author name and the name of the three poems you have entered. We are trying to identify whose work we are viewing so we can combine the judging of your work. Thanks for all your help.

If you ask the Moderators they could most likely make this a not anonymous contest for you, so you can view the authors. Some people may be nervous about sending emails to an unknown addy
