Winklings # 168 ~ For members and Allpoetry ~ Free Verse anyone?

Write a fine free verse poem of necessary length to explore this theme:

 

"My Heart Friend".  Use this title or your own title.

 

Note: This poem does not have to be romantic although it could be.

 

You may enter one or two poems. If you do, one should be prewrite, the other, new. If you enter one poem it may be either prewrite or new.

 

No warnings as most people know of Winkling Contest Expectations.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on March 30
  • Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 500, Bronze: 250, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
    Unfortunately, AP is playing up and will not allow me to re-order the Highly Commended. I shall spell the order out.
    Maureen and Ron did not always agree with our ordering. I thank Maureen for her time and effort. The result is largely a forged opinion through numbers.
    However, we both gave rather high marks to the trophy winners.
    GOLD: "your poem", a most elegant piece of free verse. Streets ahead, really.

    SILVER: "Ships": A workmanlike analogous poem with a deal to think on, indeed.

    BRONZE: le soleil. Different! Quite different.

    1st HM: "trick, treat, drink deep".

    2nd HM: "Aprille" ~ the girl, not the month!

    3rd HM: "A Contest". And so it was!

    4thHM: "Our Last Dance". Romantically sad.

    5th HM: "Our Heart and Soul Music".
