This is my first contest, so there aren't a whole lot of points. But I want poems on new beginnings, anything new or starting. The first step of a journey, the start of a new phase of ones life, a new love. Whatever strikes your fancy.
Please no poems longer than twenty lines; any poems that are longer than twenty lines will be disqualified. Any form is fine, shorter is generally better. That said, if you can keep my attention you can get away with longer. It's rare that anything holds my attention for long.
Also, if your entry is risque please note that in the author's notes so that it can be restricted to those old enough to read it.
