- Final notes: Thank you all so much for entering my contest. Every poem is wonderful and each one made me very happy. I wish everyone could get a gold trophy but I’m not allowed to do that. I am allowed to send you all extra points; so I will! The gold winner was my favorite because it is well written and it has a surprise ending and it uses a poetic device that we call "epanaphora", that's when you repeat the beginning of lines. I hope everyone reads it and comments on it. The silver winner is amazing because every rhyming line has the same amount of syllables and that is very hard to do. The bronze winner was sad and penned with emotion and I loved my dolls too and now I miss them.
