welcome to the first round of Catharsis.
ONLY ENTER if you are one of the finalists of the auditions.

this is round one. there are thirty-six contestants, but only twenty-five of you will continue to the next round. sound good?

overall rules:
no erotica
free-verse
left-aligned
no rhyme
no prose
simple background
no cliches
proper spelling
good grammar
poetic devices
swear tastefully, if at all
place a link to your AP page in your author's notes

and the number one rule:
it MUST contain emotion.

failure to follow any rules will result in a warning, and if the problem is not fixed, points will be taken away from your overall score.

this round will test how well you can write based on picture prompts. there will be four options, and you can choose which picture you want to write off of. please place the link to the photo you chose in your author's notes.

      Being a guy might actually give you an advantage because it'll set your poems aside from all the "girly" ones.

    If one of my poems is one of the offending 'prose' piece then I apologise, however, if it is, could you just remove it from the contest and consider me one of the 11 who didn't pass this round as at this moment in time I am neither in the mood nor inclination to edit anything. Nothing personal and I'm not being snippy or anything, just letting you know right at the get-go rather than drag it on and take up space.

    If one of mine isn't one of said pieces then, just ignore everything I just said lol

    However, I have to ask out of curiousity, why the need to have a link to AP pages?
