Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 2
- Rewards: Gold: 1200, Silver: 500, Bronze: 300
- Final notes: Thank you all so much for taking the time to write for this contest. There are some wonderful entries inspired by what was shown in the prompt. I was looking for something beyond that, a personal response that took on its own validity, sort of like an exquisite corpse. I found that in the three finalists.

Once you see that 'tache it's hard to take anything serious about Dali.

Very groovy combination Mr. Buckley and Mr. Dali. I love it.
Here's a poem I wrote during NaPoMo inspired by a print I have by Dali.
Just sharing for the sake of sharing ...
The light at Lligat
rifts
into pieces, slides
off pale rocks, vibrates
into flying tigers. Pomegranates split
into fish and cast heart-shaped shadows.
A flock of gaudy boats roost in Cadaques harbor.
The Elephant's legs
are long enough to understand. He spiders
The Answers across the horizon, careful
not to shatter blue panes of water.
His obelisk carries the weight of all shadows.

but not for Gala. No, not quite yet.

Great poem, Lisa. Lovely to read it here - thank you for posting this.
I got most of a book written in Nanowrimo but can't seem to find the time to get back to it - maybe this November I'll finish it.
