- Final notes: Congratulations to all the winners!! I apologize for having taken so long to judge this contest, I never expected to receive nearly as many eloquently written, beautiful entries as I did. I am amazed at the high quality of poetry each of you have offered here, making my task of choosing my favorite poems a nearly impossible feat. As another AP poet just recently said it, "I've no doubt that AP is the home of some of the most incredibly gifted poets in the world of online literature." I am truly impressed with all the fine entries, and only wish I could give everyone a golden chalice, or at least an Emerald Cup... Believe me, I tried to to just that, but this system has been set to allow only 5 Honorable Mentions, unfortunately. I even bought more points tonight from AP, hoping to award everyone a trophy, to no avail, the system wouldn't let me change the numbers. Thank you all for making this contest such an amazing adventure in warm and glowing, romantic Valentine's Day poetry!!
