Not a poem. A letter.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 10
- Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 400, Bronze: 400
- Final notes: There was a reason that I did this contest. I have written in my heart and mind a thousand "Dear God" letters lately. Sometimes I am afraid when I write them. Sometimes I am sad. Most times I try to be hopeful. I deliberately did not comment on your entries. I believe that is up to God. I thank you for allowing me to read them - how I judged this contest was simple...I did it blindly. I wrote your titles on pieces of paper and pulled out nine. (I like odd numbers). I thought this would be the best way to judge a contest like this one. Thank you for your time, thank you for opening up your hearts. Love, Lane

I sit here in my room and stare at four walls. In this room it contains my computer, tv and stereo. I live in this room God for noone wants me around. This is because of all the troubles you have handed me. I am told that• Viewed by judge.

Hey God, this is me, but I'm sure you already know that and you probably know better what I want to say than myself, so I'm not sure what the point is, maybe it will make me feel better. I know it's been a long time, and I'm• Viewed by judge.

What do you want me to say? I'm not sure that if I actually write to you it will be accurately portraying things that I need to say...even if I don't know what that is exactly. Honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm just blabbby Cr187 18 lines, 1 comment, on Feb 10 10:04 PM• Viewed by judge.

How do I enter the contest?

And why cannot one write a letter in poetry? I frequently do!
Not that I can enter this competition, since I do not enter competitions that exclude previously writen work. However, if you change your mind on these points, please let me know! -
I will, but not post it
don't want to offend any body and their version of God.
So, another time -
-
i wish you would write. this isn't about offending anyone. it's about just writing a letter to God. You don't need to sign it. This contest is anonymous. make a ripple.

No thanks, I'm mad at God right now, and 'He' already knows how I feel, and besides, I don't care to share such feelings with the 'masses.'
Good luck with the contest anyway,
mj.
