The truth of lies

This contest is called "The truth of lies"
and is about truth which in reality isn't really truth at all
for the conditions seen do not remain constant FOREVER.

For instance we say the grass is green but it is really
or is it simply green at this present time, and what about
Kentucky blue grass

Some say I'll love you forever but then split so was it truth or just
a ploy to get what they wanted.

I'm sure if you think about it you will begin to see many untruths
and half-truths neither of which is really truth for real truth is eternal.
Maybe something like the universe will expand until it reaches maximium
expansion and then will start to contract...

So your job is to write about something that appears true on
the surface but is really a lie for the situation changes thus
making it a lie in the end. I'll leave this contest write wide open in
form and interpretation.

Time to get those gerbils running in those cages of your minds...

Have fun

Eddy

    Thank You

It's always a pleasure to do well in a contest, but more than that, I have enjoyed getting to converse a little with other poets and share thoughts. It was nice to "meet" you, Eddy! I hope to have opportunity to come back and explore a little more the entries here that I have not yet read. ~K

I would welcome that. It's like they say, "Strangers are only friends
      that we haven't meet yet."...
