Hi everyone, I just recently hit my 400 poem mark (I think I'm offically at 406) and I wanted to celebrate this by holding a contest! I really like prompts and like seeing what you writers can come up with, so I'm going to give you a list of prompts. There will be more than one type, so scroll down to see!

Also, I WILL be allowing 2 fresh writes, but if you do this, please make them of a different option.
Contest Rules:
1- No StIcKy CaPs or chatspeak.
2- Please use spellcheck.
3- No hard to read backgrounds please.
4- PLEASE place the option (not just the number) in your author's notes! Even if it's a title or photo. If the option is not there by judging time, I will DQ your entry.
5- If you do a reserve, PLEASE come back and finish it before the contest closes!
6- No emo, sucidal, "I want to kill myself" poems please. This isn't the contest for that, sorry.
Option 1: Titles
Some of these are from songs, some are ones I just thought of. But please use them as your title! If you know the song, please do not let that influence your write, write only based on the title please.

Option 4: Other Prompts
1- Write a haiku about spring.
2- Write me a poem about love, since Valentine's Day is coming up, but don't make it cliche, and don't mention Valentine's Day. It can be erotic, but no smut.
3- I follow a Pagan religion. If you do too, I'd like to see you write about it. Write about a God or Goddess (if you do this put the one you chose in your author notes), write about how it makes you feel, or a Pagan holiday.
4- Write a poem about a flower, but not a rose.
5- For people who like metal, or those who like instrumental guitar, listen to this song "Voice Of The Soul" by Death, and write about what it makes you feel when you listen to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd4q0Xx-u1Y
6- Take one of your favourite songs and re-write it to fit your style. Let me know what song it is in your author notes.
7- Write a poem about your pet, or a favourite pet that has passed away.
8- Write a poem about a forbidden love. No incest on this one please.
9- Say you were about to be murdered. Write about what you would think, or how you would feel as you tried to get away.
10- Write about abuse or a horrible event in your life. If you choose abuse and write about rape, please for my sake, do not get vivid in the description of it.
11- If you absolutely cannot get inspired by anything above, do a reserve and state the type of poem you think you are best at writing, and I will find a prompt for you. You may ask for photos or titles.
Please remember that you can enter twice, but they have to be of different options. If you have any option ideas, please let me know of them, if they are good I will add them.
A last rule- Please put your username in your author's notes. I will not be biased on your writes, I just want to know in case I like your entry and want to read more from you.

Probably. I used some of the prompts from my last contest that people didn't use.

Had a funny feeling that's what it was. I do the same myself, I'm running three ongoing contest series at the moment, title prompt, lyric prompt and a poem prompt (where I use quotes from my poems) contests and I carry over any untaken prompts into later ones in the series too.
