Could you pelase clarify something? I understand that you live in the USA, where "corn" means - first and foremost - "Maize". In the UK, corn is either a generic term for all eared cereal crops (excluding maize - which is called either "corn on the cob" or "sweet-corn"), while a cornfield means, first and foremost, a wheat-field. Could you please clarify what "cornfield" means in the context of your competition?

Can you please show me an example of pedestrian rhyme and purple prose? I want to know what not to do.

And here is a blog that gives a pretty funny example of purple prose: http://todgoldberg.typepad.com/tod_goldberg/2005/04/and_let_me_guid.html
