HIV/AIDS Stigma - The real killer?

How do YOU feel about the pandemic?

As we are all aware HIV/AIDS is a serious illness that affects millions of men, women and children all around the world!  It is also something near and dear to myself and my AP mother SoulfulWoman . So we wanted to have a contest to hear how YOU feel about this disease.

We want you to write poetry based on your TRUE feelings about HIV/AIDS, homosexuality, drug use and stigma.  We want poetry based on your fears, concerns, and beliefs .  There is no prompt just speak directly from your heart!!

HUGE THANKS TO KLAYER FOR THE DONATION OF 500 POINTS TO ADD TO THE WINNINGS OF THIS CONTEST!!!!!!

Of course some rules apply:

1. First of all AP rules apply, for a description click here:  http://allpoetry.com/home/guide/rules

2.We believe in free speech but hatred will NOT be tolerated, there is a way of expressing your viewpoints without hate!! Any use of derogatory language to describe anyone will be DQ'd immediately no questions asked!!

3. Poems don't have to be warm and fuzzy to win, they should express your true feelings.

4. Any poems that have adult themes, should be labeled "Adult"

5. All poetry styles/forms are acceptable, dark, dirty/pretty and religious (all types) poems are acceptable as well, we encourage you to use whatever style you like to get your point across, we are open!

6. Pre-writes are acceptable as long as they fit the theme of this contest, if they don't they will be removed!

7. No sticky caps

8. No chat lingo (smh, omg etc)

We are attempting to open minds and hearts to this pandemic (an illness that affects the world) and create constructive works of art concerning it.  Yes it may create controversy, but no evil has ever been conquered without controversy!!!!

Be creative and let's get it started!
