up with an idea, hence this contest!

We want something nostalgic from the 50s, 60s or 70s
It can be anything!
There will be bonus points if anyone can give us nostalgia from the Roaring 20s!

I'm not going to burden you all with rules.
You all have been writing for quite some time
and are more than familiar in penning fabulous poetry.
Common sense is the key
and we know you ALL
have that!

- Contest was judged on February 24
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 400, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: First, we would like to apologize for not getting to judge this sooner. I, celticmoon, have, unfortunately had some not so good unforeseen events take place recently in my life and therefore we had to place the judging on hold and for that we do apologize.
Secondly, we would to thank each of you that did enter. we knew from the start in creating the list of invitees that judging this was not going to be easy but still we was willing to take on the challenge simply because we wanted some poetry we could truly sink my teeth into. Each of you gave us just that and for that we thank you.
Lastly, we would like to congratulate you all on penning such amazing pieces for us. Each one is certainly worth gold and more but unfortunately we can have only one gold. So without further ado I give you your winners!
Bronze goes to Desire for penning a very touching piece of personal history that shows love, appreciation and courage within the heart and soul.
Silver goes to Just Rob for his amazing penning of a time when the desire and fight for peace was at it peak. When, people truly stood up in protest for things they believed in while at the same time had fun, relaxed and enjoyed life.
And lastly the gold, but before I state the winner, allow me to remind you that anyone that took up the challenge to write for the roaring 20s would be awarded bonus points by both myself and B Chandler. So with that said the gold winner is...
Idle Mind Wondering for penning an astonishing portrayal of the 20s like most never see. He went beyond the glitter and gold of the era and told the truth of the time in a fashion that left our mouths agape in awe. BRAVO!
I would suggest that if you have not taken the time to read his piece that you do. I promise you that you will not be sorry! It is more than worth the read
Also, since he took the challenge of the roaring 20s he will be receiving 100 bonus points from B Chandler and another 100 points from myself.
