Okay, so, as you may or may not know, I had my wisdom teeth taken out on January 9. Because of that, my mouth has been aching almost ever since - because pain medication helps but not that much - and I haven't been able to eat normal food. Not cool. :/
So anyway... if you please, I would love to be spoiled a bit with good poetry.

For you lot, I want you to enter all of your favourite poems, or ones that you think I would enjoy. I don't mean enjoy as in something that would cheer me up (because a lot of the time I like melancholy, sorrowful, deep, or contemplative poetry more than overly happy stuff). Just something that I would praise endlessly and regard as amazing. I'm sure you know what I like by now. :]
Also, if you please, here are an extra two steps that aren't necessary but it'd be nice if you would...
~ Please submit one fresh write along with your flood of prewrites. Show me what's been on your mind lately. Or write something that will cheer me up. But don't taunt me about food like apples or anything.
~ Please read some of the poems of the others I've invited to this contest, maybe even comment. I am privileged to be in contact with some incredible writers, but you all need to discover each other ! Obviously you don't have to read/comment on every poem, but try to find one that sounds interesting by someone you haven't read much by. That sentence was confusing. You know what I mean.
ANYONE WHO ISN'T ON THE LIST ABOVE IS STILL ALLOWED TO SUBMIT ONE POEM/PIECE OF PROSE -- EITHER A PREWRITE OR A FRESH WRITE. Don't let the list scare you away.

I got my wisdom teeth out about a month ago. I didn't use the pain medication at all because it made me feel even worse.

It's not fun trying to swallow those huge, annoying pills. >.<
They help occasionally. I suppose.
Life seems a tiny bit more bearable with them.
