The Murder Mystery Whodunnit Game

Don't you just love Murder mystery and suspense?

The Game is this. IM me and ask for a character name. What you will do is, after recieving your character name in the story, is write a poem as that character on why you disliked or loved the Murder victim.

If you are chosen to be the perpetrator of the crime - and there will be only one of you, I will tell you when I send the name to you. I will also tell you a few basics about the character you have been given.

Everyone gets to play detective - even if they are not the investigating officer.

Each of you gets to write two poems - one describing why you loved or loathed the murder victim and one saying who you think the murderer is and why.

So the rules are, when I have 12 entries, those same 12 will then write poems explaining why they think a certain person is the murderer.

Everyone will be judged on the quality of their poetry, style, imagination and character portrayal.

Thus, the competition is only open to 12 entries, then it will close. Then I will open it again to the same 12 entrants who will write their poems about who the murderer is.

I've been watching a lot of CSI lately. This sounds like fun but I don't know if it's my deal. But strangled, stabbed, and poisened! Poor bastard...that's a little excessive too even for a brutal killer, haha!

He deserved it....he was a miserable old bastard!

Miserable and drunk, like an opposite of the old guy from The Fast Show.

We all know, the butler did it with tea laced in white oleander, his daughter's fiancee strangled him for her inheritance early/he's a gold digger. His wife stabbed him in the back, she hated being touched by the wrinkled out koot! And the detective is having dual affairs with his wife and maid, and couldn't care less if it's solved. Ha!

OK only 9 entries out of 12 who wanted characters. I'm disappointed because I wouldn't have given characters to people who didn't want them if they had told me. Ok, never mind that, the three who are missing are not important anyhow. Its time now for you all to write your second poem guessing whodunnit. Good luck guys!!

    • You still have it set to only one entry per person... Are we to remove our first entry in order to submit the second, or is that a mistake?

Feb.13th 2009. You know people. After this long I'm inclined to think we are all innocent .And this was done by a total outsider. An intruder none of us were aware of.
