Embrace~

Hi Brilliant poets...

The image above touched me. I was looking for a pic and I saw this...
All I could think of was that this couple must really be in love...
enthralled in each other to be so embraced, despite the pouring rain....
It really touched my heart and being the romantic that I am, I was hoping to get some beautiful entries inspired by this picture....so

I hope you are inspired by this, if not...the following quotes:

Soul meets soul on lover's lips.
~ by Percy Bysshe Shelly ~

When you love someone, all your saved-up wishes start coming out.
~ by Elizabeth Bowen (1899-1973) ~

The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is to love and be loved in return.
~ From "Unforgettable with Love" by Natalie Cole

Please put your option in Author's notes

I am impressed by unique love poems written with creative use of poetic device such as metaphor, imagery, alliteration and especially emotion ...if you rhyme, make it unforced...

no hard core erotica...Sensual is beautiful...

Have fun!

Lynda

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on January 13
  • Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 6 people
  • Final notes:
This contest was so very difficult to judge! I had to bring in a second party to assist me...
If the rules did not prohibit ties, I would have had a tie because I feel there should have been more than 3 winners here...
I am posting another contest today and I hope that you will all look for my new one. Thank you so much for your wonderful entries. This is the best contest I have hosted in a long while. The entries were amazing....They ALL touched my heart and I thank you for that!

    Until next time,

    Lynda

  • I agree with Rick! I am overdue to write for a contest of yours as well. Beautiful picture indeed not to mention the breathtaking quotes. I hope I can rattle my muse enough to spill the words she feels.
