I started here on January 2nd, 2008, at age fifteen with almost no skills in writing.
today I realized how much I've grown as a person and as a poet, and how lucky I am to have found people who care about me on this site.
so, this is a contest for my favourites
and people who have me on their favourites.
because you know me and have been reading my poetry recently, I want you to pen me something you think I'll love.

it can be a dedication poem [I love those]
it can be free-verse on any topic other than erotica or religion
it can be prose
it must be left-aligned, no rhyme, with a simple background.
it must not contain too many cliches.
you must put your name in your author's notes.
you must use proper spelling, grammar and punctuation [although some people prefer not to use punctuation]
you must not molest your shift key or overload on dirty pretty.
you must make me feel something upon reading your poem, and not because it is so saturated with cheesy happiness or cliched sadness that I want to puke.
you must use imagery/other poetic devices.
failure to follow any rules will result in a warning, and if the problem is not fixed, disqualification.

I haven't written anything in a few weeks.
I was writing a lot, because for Christmas I gave my boyfriend a compilation of all the pieces I wrote for/about him, but now I'm all written out!
Besides, everything I write sounds the same when I wrte about being in love.
I miss writing about heartache but it's difficult when you feel like you're betraying your boyfriend by writing about pretend "heartache". xD
