This contest is about the experiances of you or someone you know and/or about your beliefs on the current state of our world it's justice system, police misconduct & political corruption, anything about your feelings from recieving a parking ticket to how you feel about the death sentance, the homeless and world peace.
Has this affected your life today or in the past or how you feel it will be in the future.
Do you have any ideas to correct the problem or do you believe there is no problem?
You can enter pre writes, fresh writes, up to two poems, any form ( letter form too ), any belief is welcome and will be respected unless you are intentionaly being rude.
Also, even if we differ in our beliefs on the subject this does not mean you aren't eligible for the gold, if your poem shows the passion you feel regarding the subject then you could win.

- Final notes: WOW! I feel as though I need to apologize as it was near impossible to judge this contest.
I did the best I could do with all the amazing poetry submitted here.
The H.M. are not any specific order and there were many instances where I wished I could award more gold, silver and bronze trophies as well as more points; they are much deserved.
Thank you to everyone for entering and sharing your passion on these issues.
The poems submitted have given me a new sense of hope that I am not alone in my feelings and thoughts and that change will come.

Absolutely! Anything that moves you regarding the issues of our world, country, state, county, city,government employees.( which includes child abuse and the lack of help from the government, police etc... or the corruption of socail workers who wrongfully break apart families )
