This rounds emotion is...

CONFUSION


You know what I want/need by now... I will not feel your emotions through simple, cliche pieces... I need SOMETHING MORE. I need real-feeling emotion, imagery, creativity, metaphor... most of all DEPTH, in order to "get" your emotion. Really make me understand, feel swelled in this pit of confusion, make me feel lost, without hope, not knowing where to go next...

and you will move on.


You have until January 3rd at Midnight, or, if needed at my discretion. If you cannot make this deadline, make sure you message me and tell me why or I will most likely not give you an extension.

  • Final notes:
    Whoa. Thank-you for all the fantastic entries. A found a lot of the pieces leaned towards trying to define how we feel when we are confused, some entries tried to place confusion behind a scenario like love or drug addiction, and then others took a more abstract, dark path. No matter which way you went with it, it was good. Because I felt confusion in all eleven entries

    The nine poets in the finalists list are moving on because I felt they really did a great job with portraying the emotion.

    As for the two poets who will be leaving us, you still did a fantastic job yourself. Your pieces had loads of potential. Thank-you so much for your entries.

    The next round will be up momentarily.

      the prompt is the emotion you need to write about!!

      it doesn't need to be inspired by the pic, as long as the emotion in the piece is confusion. but by all means if you want to use it for inspiration, go for it.
