New Year's recipe (with Oldpoetry)

This is a contest where you need to read and comment on another poem.

The poem is posted on Olpoetry, so the comments are not
to flatter or cheer up the author.
Once you've read and left a comment on that poem , use your own comment as part or inspiration to
your entry.

I yelled, you weren't around, I added you anyway
It seems that comments left by members are going as guest comments. If you get any comment about comments not showing, you know what to do.

I read the poem, left a comment and it disappeared. Does this mean you have ruled me out of the contest?

If your comment doesn't show yet it's because you went there as guest, and all comments left by non members must be approved by one of the MODS before they show off. Going there to check pending comments

I saw it there when first I posted it, then it was gone.

And now it's back again. How very strange.

I just checked, it was posted as guest comment, I approved it and now it shows. Sometimes the login doesn't go automatically from here to there, and even though you logged in here, you show there as guest. Unless you were indeed logged in and it was one of the Oldpoetry glitches. But it shows now. Thanks

Such a wonderful poet, and I'm ashamed to say, this was my first introduction. Thank you for having this contest, and making us read this one poem. Now I will have to find more of his work.

    Thank You

Thank you for holding a contest that allowed me to express myself this way. I spent each holiday alone this year, not for a lack of friends and family wanting to share their time but as a oppurtunity for self refection and an attempt to find the true meaning. So this award means a lot because it was indeed personal. Thanks so much and again Happy New Day

Thank you for being such a pleasant contestant!
Hope the time alone has added positives thoughts in your mind, which by reading your poem, I'm sure it has
Lots of happiness for you in 2009
