Most of us will do it. At some point these next few weeks a lot of us are gonna make some sort of new years resolution. Millions of people do it every year and the majority of them wont follow through with them. What I want is poems about failed New Years Resolutions. I want to hear about not keeping them.
Since I told you what I want in the contest I should also tell you about what I like or not. First off I prefer rhyme but I don't discount free-verse simply because it is free-verse. Also making it humorous will go along way towards a trophy and please try staying away from the cliche lines or phrases. Also I'm not a fan of Dp so if your gonna use that style it better be really good.
Rules:
No Cursing (unless its tasteful and necessary)
No Sticky Cap (LiKe ThIs)
No Bashing Other Poets (Instant DQ)
Try staying away from religion, politics, and race
Prewrites accepted
If you break the rules you will be DQ'd without warning.
