Wicca is a religion, but paganism is any polytheist religion. It's more of a way for Christians to lump polytheist religions together. Kind of like how they lumped a bunch of heretical forms of Christianity and Judaism into Gnosticism.
I'd enter, but I have little to say on Wicca. -

No paganism was a religion that allowed people to put all of their sins on a goat and sacrafice the goat to cleanse their sins. But in return pissed God off because a goat was not acceptable sacrafice.

paganism is not a religion.. it's a category of religions/beliefs.
you can be pagan without being wiccan, you cannot be wiccan without being pagan.
Some pagan spirtual practices are very much like wicca.. others are very different. -

I am at least twice your age, probably more and have been practicing and studying for more years than you've been born. I've taught and spoken to others for many years now. I have been active in national, state and local wicca/pagan conferences and have gone toe to toe
with many about issues that impact the wiccan/pagan community.
Evidently your beliefs are different from mine... I would suggest that do some studying yourself, from more knowlegable sources.
If you are misleading others.. even unintentionally, i hope you understand the consequences.

I met Scott Cunningham. I spoke at a tribute for him at A.S.U. when he died. I am well know in the wiccan/pagan community. I do not wish you any harm I believe this is childish.

if you knew Scott, you know who published his books, right? His biography is also published by Llewellyn. Scott was wiccan, but also pagan.

This is old, but I have to agree with the others.
Paganism is not a religion. I don't know who told you this, or where you picked it up, but paganism is any polytheist religion.
Manichaeism is a religion. Zoastrosim is a religion. Wicca is a religion. Paganism is a derogatory classification of polytheist religions. It's easier for the Church to say "Stay away from paganism" then "Stay away from this, this, this, this, this, this, and this. And all of these".
