OK, guys. For my very first contest, I'd like you to write how YOU see Christmas! Do you enjoy the anticipation, the gift giving and recieving? Or do you like to concentrate on the religious and spiritual side of Christmas - the anticipation of waiting for the Lord? However you see Christmas, please enter!
I want a short to medium length poem - NO EPICS PLEASE! From 8 - 25 lines, please, no less or more than that. This contest is concentrating on the joyful side of Christmas - NO dirty pretty or dark please! Keep in mind that children might like to enter and look at the entries of this competition, so I'd like to keep it moderately cheerful.
As always, if the poem doesn't match the prompt, then it's out. Winner gets gold trophy + 400 points, second gets silver + 100 points, and third gets bronze + 50 points.
If you have any further questions, please comment.
Also, if you'd like to be a judge, simply ask!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 31, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Hi guys! Thanks for entering this contest, and well done to the winners!
Well ... firstly I'd like to apologize because I haven't commented on all your poems. I'm sorry, but with exams, school, art lessons, dance lessons, writing and God knows what else I can't really fit in the time. When I get rid of exams, I'll post another contest that hopefully I'll be able to comment on better.
Anyway ... so! I found some pretty good poems in here - the winner's is absolutely fab; please check it out - but the thing that really drags down poems is poor grammar. Poems I would usually put in a finalists' list for their beautiful emotions and such I have passed by because of poor grammar. It is a necessity (unless you are writing dirty pretty of ocurse - but alas, this contest prohibits that).
Well, thanks for entering, and I hope you've had a very merry Christmas, and have a great new year! xx
- To judge this contest, you need to have at least as many finalists as you have rewards. You have 4 awards but only 1 finalist.
