Okay. One thing first: please, if you enter make it interesting. Just interesting. I'm not going to give you many restrictions, but I don't want to read the same piece over and over again with just the words rearranged.
Now, for this contest I would like fan fiction... or, better yet, fan art. Because it can actually be creative.
Choose one theme option, one genre/style option, and there you have it
The theme options:
1. Family Guy
2. Harry Potter
3. Lost
4. Mysterious Ways
5. Sailor Moon
6. South Park
7. Stargate SG1
8. The Simpsons
The genre/style options:
A) Poetry
1. A narrative poem strictly about the show/character(s)/episode you might choose. If you do this one you should try for stylistic complexity (complexity doesn't mean pretentiousness, though)
2. Use the show/a character/an episode as a metaphor for something in your life.
3. In case you used to watch one of these shows during a certain period of your life, write about that period and only use one or two powerful references to the show as related to your life back then.
4. Put yourself in a character's shoes and write about your (their) feelings on a matter of your choice.
Prose
Classical fan fiction - write your own story from the characters and circumstances of one of those shows.
Just a couple tiny rules:
*Please don't go over 50 lines (poetry) or about 600 words (prose). I won't be counting, but I want to have time to read everything
*I've wanted to do this contest for maybe a year... thing is, it could reallyreallyreally turn out cliche. Please, be creative. And if you are, I'll tell
Hehe.
Have fun

can I do star trek?
-
-
No, I'm sorry but this is a contest based more around these particular tv shows, than on a certain genre.
-
-
okay just wondering since Star trek was a TV show as well as movies and books. And I do write star trek poetry. I don't those other ones.
-
-
Well, it wouldn't score high with me since I haven't seen Star Trek; however, I won't DQ you if you enter it... it can still win if it's better-quality poetry than those on the TV shows the contest is actually about that aren't as good; but if I like yours and one on a contest-theme the same, it's only fair to give a higher place to the one who followed the rules. Hope that helps
