-->>Okay, so now I'm a teenager. I know that in the next few years I will need to truely "find myself," find my true personality, meaning, and place in life. And that gave me an idea - an idea for my first contest! Keep reading if you are interested.<<--
-->>While I'm sitting here trying to find myself, why don't you write a poem about your experience/inexperience in this catagory? Have you found yourself already? Fantastic! Tell me how/when in pure poetry form. Are you currently trying to find yourself? Awesome! Tell me about how that's going, whether it be good or whether it be not-so-good. Have you watched anyone else go through such findings? Cool! Tell me allll about it. Anything else that would fit in? Give it a shot! If you aren't sure if it would fit in the contest just comment and I will get back to you ASAP.<<--
-->>Of course, what contest would be complete without the ever-so-loved rules?!
!RULES!
1. Has to fit in the catagory of you/someone finding their true selves. (Any questions, just ask me.)
2. Umm, no less than 15 lines, no more than 60. (They think I have ADD.)
3. No TyPiNg WeIrD, cUz As MuCh FuN aS tHiS iS, bE nIcE; dOnT hUrT mY eYeS.
4. I have the right to DQ if I feel nessesary.
5. Swearin' is okey-dokey, as long as it ain't too much.
6. Keep the sexual stuff to a minimum. You can add it in if it has to do with your "becoming," but I don't want 30 lines about...um, yeah. But a little bit IS okay.
7. Any advice for me or any other poet would be fantastic, especially if you are writing about your already-found self. You don't need to, but it would be good.
8. Rhyming or free verse, I don't care (Although *cough* I do enjoy a good rhyme *cough* =D)<<--
-->>This contest ends on December 16. Now GO GO GO!<<--

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 21, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 5 people
- Final notes: Hello all! I know this is pretty cliche to say, but it's true so it needs to be said: this was a VERY hard contest to judge. Very hard. I ended up completely changing what I thought the order should be when I first read through all the writes. All the poems - especially the ones I have in the 'finalists' section - were almost too close to call, so I ended up adding 4 more honorable mentions because of it. Don't worry, don't fret; even if you didn't win, most of the poems were ahmazing =D
Thank you for all of your poems, inspiration, and advice - truely and sincerely, thank you. Happy Holidays! =D

LOL. Well, thats what everyone keeps telling me!!! I really have no experience in the "find yourself" catagorey, I'm still learning or whatever you wanna call it. Oh well, I'm only fourteen, so I guess I'm gonna "find myself" in the next few years...or decades....
