Take Me Somewhere We Can Be Alone...

I'm posting this contest because I have writer's block and I just can't seem to get past it. I figure that everyone on this site has probably had it at some point, but behind every writer there's always something that makes you pick up the pen and try again.

I want to know what that is.

So. This contest is an opportunity for you to write about whatever it is that makes you passionate enough to write in the first place. Most simply put, I want a poem about your favorite thing to write about.

I won't make demands, but some guidelines for you are:

1. nO STicKy CaPs, iF yOu CaN HelP iT pLeaSe. If you really have to, make a note in your author's note about why you used them and what value they add to your writing.

2. I want to know why you chose this particular subject. Descriptive language and emotion will help you get my attention in this contest.

Note: I am not looking for poems about writing poems. Just poems about whatever it is that makes you WANT to write poems. Your muse. Your inspiration.

Good luck and happy writing!

~Shatterglass.

I'll try to write something for this, but I'm afraid my muse has left me also.

Interesting challenge. So much of life intrigues me and most of what I write about is what makes me feel alive. Have to tighten the focus a bit I got you book marked and I shall try.

Thank you, Tom. I hope you enter, but if you can't quite find a focal point, then at least you've answered my question. Such a beautiful muse is Life.
      love,

I found one of my favorite topics. I shan't give it away, but I hope it soars your heart when you read it.

        Love,
        Tom B.
