"REGIS AND KELLY LIVE
Live’s $100 Grand Theme Song Search – Quick Start
You should write your music entry with the following instructions as your guide. One of the main
uses of our theme song is to be played over the opening sequence of our show. The example of
the show’s new opening sequence provided online is downloadable and for reference only.
Compose approximately 1 minute of continuous music that begins with a vibrant, upbeat tempo
that works with the video supplied as a demonstration. Compositions must not include lyrics.
Submissions over 1:30 may be disqualified.
The LIVE open has two distinctive parts. Entrants should try and compose their music entries to
work within the described framework of these two parts as much as possible.
LIVE open Part 1
Part 1 varies in length everyday. Part 1 should begin with a recognizable sound or melody that
plays over the opening show logo and continues throughout the “tease” promoting the guests for
that day’s show. After the logo settles on the screen, the music then plays as a “bed/mix” (music
background) with live audience applause and a live announcer reading over. Part 1 continues
until the announcer says: “All next on Live.” Part 1 is roughly 25 seconds.
LIVE open Part 2
At the beginning of Part 2, we re-start the music from the beginning of the song.
This part of the open is the same length everyday – 17 seconds. Part 2 begins with the video of
the Empire State Building. In addition to music, there is also live applause over the video. At the
end of the video, the announcer says: “Now, here are Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.” The hosts
are then seen walking into studio. We will begin to fade the music out as the hosts walk into the
studio.

this is nice- thanks for the info- it does remind me that the people running the music industry (as with the literary) are still dinosaurs- mail? CD's? HEY-! Submit audio files online... it's about time! (still ridiculous, however, when sending them a simple link will do...) Now, if I didn't need sleep I'd write something during the night (it would take several hours to create...)
-
Oooohhhhh just an info contest, Ok... I can remove my entry if you like (save you the 400 points!) or you can consider it a bonus entry (let me know)

You did a nice theme song...
So even if you are unable to convert into an MP3... maybe your entry will convert into a trophy. Only time will tell. THANKS FOR ENTERING.... -
Hi again...

Pending my Decision... One person had an entry and didn't enter since misread instructions and did theme song with lyrics instead of instrument yet "may" enter it since had met deadline well ahead of December 4.
I told him, that I hated to end contest without giving you a trophy since you'd done such an excellent job. However, I got below message trying to judge contest:
"Contests must have at least 3 entries to be judged (this contest has 2). If you cannot get more entries, we suggest removing the entries you got (from the poem page), and closing the contest for a point refund."
Another example to "Read Instructions First."
As often as I've learned that the hard way in school.
I STILL sometimes get ahead of myself and end up like oopsies...

hey, thanks, now wish me luck in the theme contest... (for, as we know, luck plays a big part!)
