Sitting on Boulders at Deep Cove
we unwrap daybreak
like an unexpected gift
our bodies so close we feel each other's thoughts
our mouths exhale horizon
sun folds her wings
her warmth sleeping in the heart of wood

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 6, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 700, Silver: 400, Bronze: 300
- Final notes: There were some wonderful entries in this contest, ranging from the romantic and the sensual to sadness to nature. We enjoyed each and every morning song and it took us quite a while to decide on the winners. There were some very close calls but in the end it was the “voice” that swayed us; also, the way the poem spoke to and moved us. We’ve decided against HM’s as there were at least another 10 poems that knocked on the “trophy door” and we had to draw the line somewhere!
Thank you, poets for these very poetic morning songs..this was a special contest for us as soon we’ll be singing our own morning song too! Congratulations to all and best wishes for the Christmas season.

The topic is great, I didn't write that well.. but I'm glad it helped me get over the really bad phase I'm going through. Can't concentrate on writing poetry at all.
Thank you
and good luck!
