In case you were wondering, which you obviously did since you clicked on this contest, this contest is in favor of my Biology teacher Mrs. Rush.
Her father is dying [[I do not know what of]] and she has been really depressed lately. He knows exactly what's wrong with him, and he refuses all medical treatments. He is expected to die in the next few days. I wanted to have this contest to tell her everything will be okay. Basically say this is how he wanted to go.
What I want:
Support, encouragement, "this is how he wanted to go" kind of stuff, emotion, uplifting, happy, etc...
What I don't want:
1st person from either her or her father, bashing, depressing, emo, cutting, dirty pretty, etc...
RULES:
1) Nothing over 40 lines.
2) Religious is fine, but she is Catholic. So if it is something on, for example, Buddha, yeah...NO. Angels, God, and Jesus are fine.
3) No religion bashing. I am not Catholic, but she is.
4) NO WRITING FROM MRS. RUSH'S OR HER FATHER'S POINT OF VIEW!!! You can write from 3rd person, and angel's POV, a by-stander [[ex: like me]], etc. *Just not from Mrs. Rush or her father.*

Enough Is Enough (a poem to the mutual acceptance by father and daughter of one's passing.)
Enough is Enough
Do not whisper through your pain
lest it hurt too much,
I am humbled to be here
and know of your love.
And that is enough.
Do not listen to the tick-ticking of the clock,
I will be with you soon
when the night falls so rough;
hold you in my trust.
Do not question yourself
while so quiet in thought,
let the sleeping drug drift you slowly
from this Earth;
to a peaceful world.
Do not whisper, do not listen;
know I am here.
I will sit with you soon
past the end of your fear.
You, forever I love.

great! but...why didnt you actually enter it in the contest?

Hello...
Thanks for the response. To be honest I didn't enter it as your rules stipulated something, perhaps in letter form, after the lady in question's father had actually passed on. So I thought I'd just try to contribute in my own way to the present sad situation.
By all means regard it as an entry to your competition. Trouble is, I'm new to the site and haven't much idea yet of how to navigate the procedures to do this.
As it's your comp perhaps you could help me with it and/or simply regard it as an entry as it stands? Ta again, hm, Miss Missa. Take care... Peter...

Then you can come back to this page and click on "Enter a pre-written poem" and it will show a list of every poem you have entered on this site. click on the one you want to enter and click "Enter". and, YAY, your poem is entered!
